Not necessarily. Although it is a breach of police procedure, failure to inform you of your rights will not automatically lead to a dismissal of the case. However, you could be acquitted at trial if the lack of awareness of your rights results in an unfair trial, for example if you incriminated yourself because you did not know you had the right to remain silent.
